Kari Lee Fietek:

piano, French horn, trumpet, popular voice

By 1976 Kari was working as church organist for various churches and private piano lessons.  She studied piano at Wisconsin’s Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. After high school, studied “A level” Music in England and achieved Grade VIII piano through Britain’s Royal College of Music system. First horn in Milwaukee Youth Symphony and Wisconsin State Honors band, and with the local youth symphony while in Buckinghamshire, England. Music Major at Luther College in Iowa, degree from Mount Holyoke College.  Formed the band “Daughter Judy” in 1997.

  

Tara Yando-Turley:
Prelude Classes ages 3 to 7 years

Certified teacher Tara Yando-Turley is our pre-school/kindergarten specialist. Originally from Falmouth, Tara earned a degree from University of Maine in Elementary Education and Special Education. She taught at HalifaxElementary School  for 10 years. Since 1998 she has been coaching gymnastics and movement classes for infants, toddlers, and young children at Gymboree in Hyannis, Tumble Time in Pocasset, and The Community Partnership in Sandwich.

  Jim Snider:rock band classes

BA in Art from Otis/Parsons, Los Angeles, Jim works in Sandwich as the graphic design artist for Horsely-Witten Group and lives in Mashpee with his wife and two children. His 25 years experience playing in bands began at the age of 12. He is the former bass player for “The Wallflowers” - you may remember their hit songs “One Headlight” and “6th Avenue Heartache”. Originally from Los Angeles, Jim has a wealth of experience working in and touring with signed bands. Jim currently plays on the cape with local bands “4Eyes” and Alruda.

Tom Kelly: guitar, beginning bass guitar, recording, beginner guitar classes

Tom brings an ideal combination of performing, teaching, songwriting and recording experience to share with students at any level of proficiency. Self taught on guitar at age 10, Tom began performing four years later. He attended Berklee College of Music and later earned a BS in music business and music from Middle Tennessee State University.  While in Nashville, Tom wrote or co-wrote a number of songs, several of which were recorded and charted in Billboard magazine. Tom also ran a demo project studio catering to songwriters. Extensive teaching experience in Nashville and later in New Hampshire has shown Tom to possess the patience, communication skills and talent to work with students of any level. Since moving to Cape Cod in 2000, he has been performing as a solo and also in a duo with his wife, Patricia.


  Monica Rizzio: violin, fiddle, voice, beginner piano, flute

New England songwriter, fiddler and folk singer, Monica Rizzio, grew up in New York. She has continued to explore music throughout her life, leading her to move to Nashville, Tennessee in 1999 where she attended Belmont University and obtained a degree in Commercial Voice and Music Business.  While Monica was living in Nashville she had the opportunity to become acquainted with bluegrass and Celtic music. Upon graduation Monica moved to Cape Cod in 2004 where she now performs in the band Tripping Lily an acoustic folk rock group. You may see Monica at one of the local Celtic sessions on Cape Cod playing and singing Celtic music. Monica teaches voice, piano, fiddle and flute.

 

Andrew Fietek:                                                   

drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, Rock Squad

With over 20 years experience as a performing guitarist, drummer, and bassist in various rock bands, and a degree in Music Education Andrew is qualified to teach every instrument offered in public school. He comes most recently to Score from Marlborough, Massachusetts where he taught band, chorus and general music class. He has also taught at public and private schools in Albuquerque, and was a percussion teacher for Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School. Andrew coaches our "Marching Rock Squad" is love of marching band dates back to his college days at the University of New Mexico, where he played percussion in the Lobo Spirit Marching Band, and there he earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education. He is currently working on his masters degree in composition from the University of Rhode Island and teaches jazz ensemble at Sturgis Charter School in Hyannis. He plays with Cape Cod band "4Eyes" as well as "Vespus" and "Skumbag" based in New Mexico.

Ted Myers:

                          piano, trumpet

Ted graduated from the Ithaca College School of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education degree with honors in 1970. He taught middle school choral and instrumental music in Connecticut before "hitting the road" as one half of the duo Porta and Ted which performed on Nantucket, in Fort Lauderdale, St. Thomas, Sherman Oaks, CA, Lake Havasu, AZ, and Cape Cod.
Ted has performed at various restaurants on the Cape including the Dolphin Restaurant where he appeared on Saturday nights for twenty-three years. He also is the pianist for Christa Dulude, a local jazz singer. Besides his interest in the piano, he plays trumpet in the Sandwich and Barnstable Summer Town Bands and studies cello with Sandy Spencer, cellist with the Cape Cod Symphony.                        

 

   Steven Gregory: guitar

Steve started playing the guitar at 14 and dove head first into the study of guitar, voice and composition. Steve went on to graduate from Rhode Island College with a Bachelors in Music with a focus on classical guitar. He then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston to study

Jazz composition. He played in the folk / funk duet "The Groovey Nobodys" while living in Boston - playing original music in the Providence and Boston areas. Steve currently plays guitar and sings with the Cape Cod dance band, "Felonious Funk" and the jazz / pop duet, "Two Cool". He is a digital recording software fanatic - creating backing tracks for performance and writing instrumental music. Steve also produces the Score Music Studios on-line newsletters and is a member of the Sandwich Schools Band Boosters. He has taught guitar privately to students of all levels and ages over the years and is thrilled to now be a part of the Score Team.

 

Clayton March: violin, clarinet, flute, beginner piano

Clayton March, a freelance musician, is a fiddler, mandolinist, and classically trained clarinetist. He is in the folk ensemble Ory Boggy and performs throughout the region, including with the Harwich Jr. Theater. The past president of the Cape Cod Celtic Society, he leads Irish sessions and Irish music learners groups. He Clayton holds a bachelor’s of music from New England Conservatory and works at Johnson String Instrument in Falmouth.
